Several playful penny banks up for bid that were produced by the renowned Shepard Hardware Company of Buffalo, New York. Among them is the wonderful "Jonah and Whale" bank depicting the Biblical story of the prophet being swallowed by a huge whale. The delightful "Picture Gallery" bank features six classic portraits that rotate through when powered by deposited coins. And the amusing "Punch and Judy" bank portrays the beloved 1700s puppet show characters Punch and Judy in action, with Punch swinging to hit Judy when activated.

J. & E. Stevens highlights include the incredible "Milking Cow" bank as well as other popular issues like "Dentist", "Reclining Chinaman", "Monkey and Coconut", "Bull Dog", and "Bread Winners". When the auction goes live, lots will be sold one at a time, in numerical order, by a live auctioneer who will be taking bids from multiple online bidding platforms, absentee and phone bids. During pre-bidding you are able to submit a max (maximum) bid. The bidding platform or our auction staff will bid on your behalf up to the maximum bid that you have entered. Once the auction goes live if you wish to increase your bid you will have to wait until that lot opens for bidding and enter any additional bids manually.
