This auction is for a collection of model railroad items from manufacturers like American Flyer, Lionel, Marx, and more. We have prewar, postwar, and modern era trains in S Gauge, O Gauge, and HO scale. (All of the items in the catalog are S-Gauge unless specified otherwise in the item description.) These items come from a lifelong model railroad collector and are in very good condition.

We have not officially graded these items but we have included multiple quality photo's for each item so you can assess the cosmetic condition. Most of the inbox items will be C-7 to C-9. Most of the items without boxes are going to be C-5 to C-7. The locomotives and operating equipment were functional when removed from the layout and we have tested all locomotives just prior to cataloging, but we make no guarantee that they will still operate when you receive them. Please bid accordingly. There will be a preview opportunity on January 16 from 3-5 PM. You are urged to come to the auction location and satisfy yourself as to the condition of these items.

Preview, Shipping, and Pickup Information:

This is an online only auction which will begin to close on January 16 at 7:00 PM and will close at the rate of 3 lots per minute with a 1 minute auto extend. That means if a bid is placed within the last minute for any lot the time for that lot will be extended for one more minute.

Preview for this auction: All of the items will be available to preview on Tuesday January 16 from 3-5 PM at 240 Claremont Ave, Harrisonburg VA 22801. Pickup is at the same location on Wednesday January 17 from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Shipping is available for all items in this auction. We use shippingsaint.com to handle our shipping. You will receive a separate invoice for shipping from Shipping Saint. Packaging and handling charges will be $2 per lot and shipping will be billed at actual shipping rates from your preferred provider. If you purchase multiple lots, they will be combined for lowest cost shipping.  All items will be shipped within 7 business days of the close of the auction. Please keep in mind that shipping for large and heavy items may get expensive.

Terms of the Sale:

Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 10% will be added to each successful bid. Virginia Sales Tax of 5.3% will be charged on all items unless the buyer provides a valid sales tax exemption form. Sales tax exemption must be claimed and form presented before payment is made.

Merchandise: All Items Are Sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. We will not be accepting returns or providing refunds.

Payment: Cash, Credit Card (3% Fee Applies), Wire Transfer, and Good Check are approved methods of payment. This online only auction will require bidders to enter a valid credit card in order to register to bid. When registering to bid, the credit card will be checked for available credit of $100 but the card will not be charged. At the end of the auction all successful bidders will receive an invoice via email and payment can be made online. If payment arrangements are not made by the end of the pickup period then the credit card used for authorization purposes at the time of registration will be charged. All payments whether cash, check, or card must be made before any items are removed from the property.
