The March Fine & Decorative Arts Auction hosted by Alderfer Auction showcases a variety of stunning pieces, including fine jewelry, sterling silver, decorative art, furniture from both modern and historic periods, artwork, and rugs.

The auction begins with a variety of exquisite jewelry, including a Cartier bracelet, pieces made of 20k and 22k gold, and a magnificent diamond and emerald bracelet.

The silver section features ten sterling flatware sets, a German sterling silver smoker's companion in the form of an airplane, German Holy Roman Empire spoons, Gorham Etruscan candlesticks, and four sterling tea services.

The decorative art offerings are highlighted by a Dufner and Kimberly Thistle Slag Glass Lamp, Minton "Somerset Green" china for Tiffany, Chris Hawthorne art glass, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Celline handbags, a signed letter from Charles Dickens, and a signature from Theodore Roosevelt.

Furniture offerings include Thomas Moser chairs, a Roycroft library table, Persian Tabriz and Serapi rugs, and period pieces.

Artwork includes works by Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, a French landscape painter known for his romantic scenes and naturalistic approach to capturing light and atmosphere and Walter E. Baum, a key figure in the Pennsylvania Impressionist movement who is known for his landscapes, portraits, and still-life paintings.

The auction continues with works by William Aikens Walker, known for Cotton kingdom genre and landscape painting, Johann Berthelsen, a Danish-American painter who was famous for his Impressionistic landscapes and cityscapes and known for his ability to capture light and color in his paintings

You will also art by Henry James Soulen, an American painter known for his landscapes, portraits, and still-life paintings who was a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Also included Moses Soyer, an American painter who was a member of the Ashcan School of American Realism. He was known for his portraits and genre paintings, which depicted everyday life in New York City. Other featured artists include the Martino brothers Antonio and Giovanni, Gaetano Pompa, and others.

During pre-bidding you are able to submit a max (maximum) bid. The bidding platform or our auction staff will bid on your behalf up to the maximum bid that you have entered. Once the auction goes live if you wish to increase your bid you will have to wait until that lot opens for bidding and enter any additional bids manually.
