Listing Information
This is an Online Only Auction of Mary Porter Paintings. Mary Weber Porter was a local beloved artist from the Wayne and Richland County area of Southern Illinois. She was known for her life like floral paintings and her many fruit and vegetable paintings which, everyone that was acquainted with her unique artistic talent, wanted to own and display in their own homes and offices. She attended the School of Art Institute in Chicago, and won several artistic awards. The majority of her paintings are on rustic wood boards with attached wire hanger on the back. Mary Weber Porter came from a large family in Richland County Illinois and married and moved to Wayne County, Fairfield, IL. She and her husband owned and operated a restaurant where she would display and sell many of her paintings. She lived into her 90's and lived an active full life.
