***Please note all lots located in Savannah, GA***

Arthur B. Kouwenhoven Jr. has been an avid collector and supporter of working artists for most of his life. While his work at legendary design firm Jansen Inc. took him into the living and working spaces of the Manhattan elite, he also found his way into the art circles of the East Village in the 1960s-80s.

This sale includes work by artists that lived and worked in the East Village during that time period such as Philip Pavia, Roy Colmer, John Wesley, Robert Moskowitz, Mario Yrisarry, Norman Bluhm and John Clem Clarke. By divesting himself of some of his earlier acquisitions, he is able to continue supporting new, working artists.
