A well known brand of coffee, sugar, spices and related items, they are popular with collectors for their great graphics and wide variety of adverting items including that Holy Grail, the Hoffmann Coffee Grinder. This cannon was used in the Village of Kewaskum to start parades as far back as the early 1900s. Exceptionally well built, it is entirely unmarked and the manufacturer is unknown. At some point long ago it was converted from a breech loading cannon to a muzzle loader by lead slugging the breech plug and drilling the barrel for a touch hole. As a result of the alteration it is being sold as a decorative piece  only and it is NOT SAFE to fire. Barrel length is about 17". Overall is 25". Bore is 1".

Matchbox Motorway Remote Control Car Set.
As my dad would have said. "Here's another kid that wasn't allowed to play with his toys." The set is in nearly immaculate  condition and contains several extra cars beyond the two that came with it. It's a bit unique in that the cars aren't motorized; the track provides the motive force through a concealed spring that rotates under the road bed and propels the cars by a hidden pin projecting from under the vehicle. It's a bit clumsy but it allowed you to run any car you wanted on the track. Set made in Germany. Cars made in England.

Black Powder Cannon on Iron Carriage and with a Brass Barrel.
Bore is 1".

1874 Fond du Lac County Platbook
This is leaving an old line Town of Auburn family for the first time since, well, 1874. A bit rough around the edges but appears to be complete. As far as I know 1874 was the first Plat book issued for Fondy. The second last photo shows you the spot where the much heralded Paul Auction Hall now stands.

30
W. Sturm & Son West Bend Soda Water Bottle
There's a pretty healthy chip or two out of the bottom.

31
Knuth's, Milwaukee, Potato Chip Advertising Card.
In 1981 we sold out the Knuth estate. In the attic of this very memorable, time capsule house were boxes full of NOS adverting fans, calendars and other novelties. 40 years later they still surface on occasion. 5x8

32
Scott & Kratzer 8 oz West Bend Soda Bottle
Almost no mention is made of this firm other than a brief mention in the 1921 WI business directory. Nearly impossible to find this bottle.

33
Sturm Bros. West Bend Soda Bottle
The larger Sturm family operated under numerous names as early as 1870, but Sturm Bros. was only in business under that name from 1913-1914. Another very hard to find bottle.

34
Hoffmann's, Milwaukee, Old Time Coffee Advertising Novelty Horn.
The Hoffmann Co. was originally founded in 1876 and existed until 1949 when they were bought out by Roundy's. A well known brand of coffee, sugar, spices and related items, they are popular with collectors for their great graphics and wide variety of adverting items including that Holy Grail, the Hoffmann Coffee Grinder. This piece is a paperboard horn designed to look like a microphone and capitalizing on the fascination with radios, then in their infancy. It's in nearly immaculate condition.

35
Beer Barrel Bung Extractor.
Used at the West Bend Lithia Brewing Co. I have no idea why Brew Master Tom Heipp kept the sales pitch post card, but I'm glad he did. Designed to be used with a wrench or a slide hammer.

36
Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Hires Root Beer Mug, ca 1907.
Known to collectors as the "Ugly Boy". Stained but sound.

A NOS Starr X Coca Cola Bottel opener in the original box and with the two original screws, a cork puller, a bottle capper and 2 whore house novelty tokens.

38
Black Powder Cannon on Iron Carriage and with a Brass Barrel.
Bore is 1".
