1c - NO RESERVE 1966 Lyman 110 HP Mercurser & Trailer This boat has been donated by the Charlie Henery family and Hills Point resort. The proceeds of this No-Reserve sale will be donated to the Les Cheneaux Historical Society for the benefit of the Museums. This boat is in good running condition with a 110 hp Mercruser 4 cyl engine.
2 - Exceptional Custom Cedar Rowboat 15 FT RANGELEY LAKE BOAT I purchased a kit from Newfound Woodworks consisting of cedar strips for the hull, Spanish cedar transom, outwales of ash, MAS epoxy, MDF forms and a set of plans. Assembly Steps " Mount forms to a Strong Back and mounted that assembly to shop floor " Laminated forefoot, glued up transom and cut to size, clamped forefoot and transom to strong back. " Started lay-up of cedar strips by clamping strip to forms with white glue to tack them in place - strip to strip - two strips per night. " With stripping complete, removed boat from strong back. " Installed inner keel then outer keel. " Shaped bow, transom joints and keel and sanded outer hull. " Applied (1) coat of epoxy to hull then applied cloth & epoxy to hull. " Applied second strip of cloth (12" wide) and epoxy to hull/keel. " Sanded inside of boat & applied cloth and epoxy. " Installed outwales, deck & seat cleats with epoxy. " Installed seats with screws. " Sanded complete boat and applied (4) coats of HMG Coma Brightwork Varnish to boat (floor excluded) " Applied (4) coats of HMG K-type matte finish to floor.
