This online only auction is to settle the estate of the late Alvin “Buddy” Corbin. Buddy was a man of many interests and hobbies. He loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors. He collected many different things over the years including model railroad, NASCAR, baseball cards, stamps, coins, decoys, and signs. But his longest running and most impressive interest was all things related to the Civil War.

Buddy was instrumental in saving and restoring local battlefield sites, he had a huge library of Civil War books, collection of relics, currency, arms, correspondence, and art.

Due to the size of this estate and these collections we have divided this auction into two parts. Part One will have the Civil War collection, the decoy collection, the model railroad collection, stamp collection, baseball card collection, NASCAR and hot wheels collection and much more.

Part Two will have a 2001 Ford F150 pickup truck, John Deere lawn mower, tools, taxidermy, fine furniture, lawn and garden and household items.

Shipping Will Be Available For The Part One Auction Through The Local UPS Pack and Ship Store. Buyers Will Be Responsible For Packaging and Shipping Expenses. Please be aware that some of these items are bulky and/or heavy and may be expensive to ship. Please pay attention to item descriptions which will note items that cannot be shipped.

Shipping Will Not Be Available For The Part Two Auction Unless Arrangements Are Made With The Auction Company Prior To The End Of The Auction.

Pickup will be a scheduled pickup with appointments through Sign Up Genius. Winning bidders will receive an email at the close of the auction with a link to sign up for their preferred pickup time.

Please bring help to assist you in loading your purchases. Some Items Are Heavy and Bulky. Also Bring Your Own Boxes And Packing Material For Smaller Or Fragile Items.

Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 13% will be added to each successful bid. Virginia Sales Tax of 5.3% will be charged on all items unless the buyer provides a valid sales tax exemption form. Sales tax exemption must be claimed and form presented before payment is made.

Merchandise: All Items Are Sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. We will not be accepting returns or providing refunds.

Payment: Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) is the approved method of payment. Due to no internet access at the auction location we will be charging all credit cards at the conclusion of the auction unless you notify us via email @ linford@mountainvalleyauctions.com prior to the close of the auction that you wish to pay with cash or good check.

This online only auction will require bidders to enter a valid credit card in order to register to bid. When registering to bid, the credit card will be checked for available credit of $100 but the card will not be charged. At the end of the auction all successful bidders will receive an invoice via email and payment can be made online.
