Merritt Auctions is honored to be commissioned to sell the personal belongings of the late Joan Bunn at live Onsite Auction. Joan was a Lifelong Resident of Rockford, MI, she conducted Estate and tag sales and was a licensed personal property appraiser for over 50 years and one of the founding members of the Rockford Historical Society. Many residents will remember her driving her Model T or other antique Auto in the local parades.

REAL ESTATE:  12.1 acres, house approximately 720 square ft., detached 2 stall garage, pole building 26' x 40' which includes work shop.
 
The house was built in 1859 and operated as the Cortland Township No. 8 District Elementary School for over 100 years.  Joan and Marvin Bunn bought the house in 1961 and raised their two children there.

Outbuilding was used as storage and wood shop

Potential buyers are responsible for inspecting all properties before placing any bids. Any improvements which may need to be done will be the responsibility of the purchaser after ownership. THE REMAINDER OF THE 10% DOWN PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS.

CLOSING: The balance of the purchase price will be due when all paperwork is ready for closing approximately 30 days after the auction. Possession will be given at the closing unless otherwise noted. Closing fees by the title company to be determined. .

TAXES: Property Taxes which are due on the property on or before the date of the auction will be paid by the Seller. All property taxes due after the date of the auction will be the responsibility of the Buyer.

DEED AND TITLE INSURANCE: Seller will provide at their cost, a deed to the property and an owners title insurance policy in the amount of the purchase price at closing.
