NC EXECUTIVE ORDER REGARDING 100 PERSON LIMIT ON MASS GATHERINGS

The US Center for Disease Control has advised and recommended that in order to protect the health and safety of attendees and those with whom they will subsequently come into contact with, no gathering should consist of more than 50 people. President Trump advised and recommended the same, but with a 10 person limit.

Further, Governor Cooper issued North Carolina Executive Order No. 117 on March 14, 2020. It is effective for 30 days, mandates that mass gatherings of 100 or more people are prohibited, shall be enforced by state and local law enforcement officers, and provides that any violation of this Executive Order constitutes a Class 2 Misdemeanor.
