Hello everyone. This week we will be selling some of the items from the estate sale that we conducted last week. One item I want to point out to everyone is in the 4th and 5th pictures. This is an early 1900's hammered copper tray done in the arts and crafts style from the Onondaga Metal Shops. They were only in business for a few years before they were bought out and this makers mark was no longer used. Prior to the housing collapse this piece would have sold for over $1,000.00 and possibly as much as $3,000.00. David Rago of Rago Auctions is considered the authority on Early American Arts and Crafts so I emailed him about the piece. He replied to me quote “No patina. Little value these days tho rare. 500 or less.” $500.00 or less to them isn't worth their time. I am sure however, if you do the research as I have, a $200.00 sale is worth your time. There is also lots of gold this week as well folks. The prices that you see on the pieces are MELT VALUE. These pieces are on display now if you wish to stop by and take a look.
