The Donated Estate
Core Community Charity Fundraiser
Online Only Timed Auction
Augusta Kansas

HIGHLIGHTS/AUCTIONEERS NOTES:
Check out this offering from a Donated Estate to the Core Community of Augusta.  This thing offers up a little bit of everything for everybody from antiques, collectibles and useful everyday items.  Because this is a Fundraiser for a 1031C charity organization there will be NO Buyers Premium and it all sells to the highest bidder with NO Reserve and NO Sales Tax plus your purchase could qualify for a charitable tax deduction.  Buy some neat stuff and help out a great organization.  I believe that’s what they call a win, win.  Due to the nature of this sale, this will be a local pickup only auction.  Sorry, no shipping available.  100% of the proceeds go to Core Community and below you can read a little more about them and their mission.

Core Community Augusta believes no one should live in poverty and we are committed to empowering and equipping families to move up and out of poverty successfully.

Our model focuses on three stages: Crisis management and stabilization, education and job placement and job retention, advancement and economic stability.

The individuals and heads of family getting out of poverty are known as “Core Leaders.” They are asked to:

  • Enroll in the Core Leaders Training Class (Getting Ahead) to build financial, emotional and social resources as well as an Economic Stability Plan,
  • Partner with trained middle- to high-income community volunteers, called “Core Friends,” who support a Core Leader’s efforts through networking, listening and guidance,
  • Attend weekly community meetings with peers, Core Friends and other interested community members for planning, support and networking opportunities, and
  • Support each other through discussions around systemic barriers to escaping poverty and the strategies needed to remove them.

Core Community Augusta believes in the evidence that positive relationships and peer support are crucial for people to journey completely out of poverty. This model focuses on multi-generational poverty resolution and it strengthens communities in the process by bringing people together.
