This auction includes tractors, trucks, trailers, hay and grain equipment, tools, and parts from Porterfield Farms and the estate of Mike Herring. Mike was a well known and respected farmer in Central VA. He loved John Deere farm equipment and this auction has plenty of green and yellow.  A John Deere 6150M, 4840, 2940, 2750, 2955, and other tractors are in this auction along with five John Deere combines, John Deere hay and tillage equipment. There are also lots of trucks including two vintage Kenworth dump trucks as well as quite a few van trailers used for storage. We have lots of tools and spare parts plus some significant fencing equipment and supplies. There is even a 1990 Spartan fire truck in the auction.

Some of these items are parts machines and not running, others are in good working order. We have tried to describe what we know about items but since Mike isn't here anymore, there are a lot of things we don't know. Please read descriptions and watch the videos provided and then come out to the farm on preview day to satisfy yourself as to the condition of any items you are interested in. We will have a telehandler and skid loader onsite to assist with loading, but some of the big items such as parts tractors and combines may require additional equipment that the buyer will be responsible for procuring.  All items are being sold as-is where-is and the buyer is responsible for removal and transport.
