This is an Online Only Auction. 10% Buyers Premium will be added to the final bid price to determine a final settlement price. Online Bidder Registration required. Barnard Auctions does not register bidders. We utilize a professional rented online bidding platform and do not control registrations. Complete settlement at time of pickup. Everything SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. All items must sell through the auction online process, no presales. There will be No live/In-person bidding. You may submit an absentee bid (s), by calling 618-842-7850 a minimum of 24 hours before closing of auction. This auction has an Extended Bidding or "Soft Close" feature. When bid is Submitted during the Final Seconds of the Auction for a Lot, the Bidding for that Lot will be Extended for an Additional One Minute. This will continue until there are no longer any bids Submitted for that Individual Lot.

The auctioneer reserves the right to add or remove items from the auction. The auctioneer reserves the right to cancel, suspend, extend or reschedule an individual item and auction event or make changes to the auction closing times, or inspection dates, or removal times.

Barnard Auctions reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason. An accepted bid is a legal binding contract. Any personal property that is not paid for in full by the conclusion of pickup date/dates, the bidder will be responsible for payment for the original price and the costs of collection of this payment and/or damages resulting for the resale of the property.
BIDDER/BUYER agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Barnard Auctions and its agents, owners employees, and its representatives from any and all claims, damages, or suits including but not limited to awards, judgements, cost, fees, etc.
The identity of all bidders will be verified. Bidders agree to keep their username and password confidential, as they are responsible for any and all activity involving their account. By submitting a bid in the name of a business entity or corporation, the individual submitting the bid enters into a guaranty agreement whereby he or she personally guarantees payment for the items.
When using web site you must obey any and all local, state, and federal laws.
If, for any reason, Barnard Auctions is unable to make available or deliver any Purchase, or portion thereof, or documentation required in respect to any purchase at time of pickup, the sole liability of Barnard Auctions if any, shall be the return of any paid monies in respect of such purchase upon its return to purchaser.

SERVER & SOFTWARE TECHNICAL ISSUES: In the event there are technical difficulties related to the server, software or any other online auction-related technologies, Barnard Auctions reserves the right to extend bidding, continue the bidding, or close the bidding. Neither the company providing the software Nor Barnard Auctions shall be held responsible for a missed bid or the failure of the software to function properly for any reason. Email notifications will be sent to registered bidders with updated information as deemed necessary by Barnard Auctions.
Items may be picked at 600 West Center Street - Fairfield, IL on Frriday, November 15th 11AM to 1 PM and Sunday November 17th 2 to 3 PM. No Saturday pickup
If previous arrangements have not been made, and the items are not picked up at allotted times, buyer will be considered in default, and may be rejected to register for future auctions. All defaulted items may be offered to next qualified bidder. The bidder agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and other costs incurred by Barnard Auctions to collect unpaid funds from the bidder. The bidder agrees that a late fee of two percent (2 %) of the outstanding balance per month will to be added to any unpaid balance due Barnard Auctions.

This is an Online Only Auction of Mary Porter Paintings. Mary Weber Porter was a local beloved artist from the Wayne and Richland County area of Southern Illinois. She was known for her life like floral paintings and her many fruit and vegetable paintings. Everyone that was acquainted with her unique artistic talent, wanted to own and display in their own homes and offices. She attended the School of Art Institute in Chicago, and won several artistic awards. The majority of her paintings are on rustic wood boards with attached wire hanger on the back. Mary Weber Porter came from a large family in Richland County Illinois and married and moved to Wayne County, Fairfield, IL. She and her husband owned and operated a restaurant where she would display and sell many of her paintings. She lived into her 90's and lived an active full life.
