A buyers premium is also known as buyers portion of commission is a fee added on to your bid amount. Be sure to factor the BP into your bids when bidding. For example if you bid $10, the BP is $2.00 additional so you are actual bidding $12.00. Taxes are applicable to the buyers premium. REVIEWING YOUR BIDS: During an auction you can check the status of your bids at anytime. Note that no bids can be withdrawn after the auction closes for any reason. BIDDING NOTIFICATIONS: You can choose to be notified by e-mail during the auction if you have been outbid. For items sold with a 'reserve', you will be required to pay a minimum amount in order to win the item. SOFT CLOSE: Items close at regular intervals. To prevent a bidder from 'sniping', all bids made in the last minute of the auction will force an item to stay open for an additional 4 minutes. This will continue until all bidding has ceased. STRATEGY: Bidding is similar to eBay type auctions. We recommend that ALL BIDDERS put in their maximum bid when placing a bid online. This does not mean you will have to pay the amount you bid; you only pay one bid more than the next highest bid, and only up to your maximum bid.
