City of New Orleans Impounded Vehicle Auction | Onsite Auction Starts at 9AM

Inspection is Wed 4/10 from 9AM to 3PM and the morning of the auction beginning at 8:30AM. A Valid ID and $50 CASH DEPOSIT is required, per person, to enter auction site on inspection day and/or on auction day. Everyone entering must register. No one under the age of 18 allowed on auction premises.

Once the auction begins at 9AM, no deposits are refunded until the cashier can verify that no bids were awarded to bidder. Deposits for unsuccessful bidders must be claimed by surrendering bidder card before 2pm the Friday following the auction or deposit will be forfeited to the City of New Orleans.  Successful bidders will surrender bidder card to have deposit applied to purchases.

Directions: From I-10 in New Orleans Exit 246A/B for I-510 S toward Chalmette, continue on I-510 for 2.4 miles, then Exit 2C toward Old Gentilly Rd, Merge onto Almonaster Ave for 1.7 miles, auction is on the left, street parking only.

Removal Times: (subject to change) Day of auction until 4PM, Friday 4/12 from 9A to 4PM, Saturday 4/13 from 7AM to 2PM, Sunday 4/14 from 7AM to 2PM and Monday 4/15 from 9AM to 4PM, no exceptions. On Weekdays the gate closes promptly at 5PM & on Weekends at 3PM; you must be out of the yard before these times on each corresponding checkout date. Any vehicles remaining AFTER 4/15 will be assessed at least a $19 storage fee per day per vehicle by the Almonaster Towing Facility, which must be paid before vehicle will be released.

FULL PAYMENT IS DUE ON FRIDAY 4/12 BEFORE 2PM.  A convenience fee of 3% will apply to all card transactions.

PLEASE NOTE: A 10% Buyer’s Premium applies to all purchases. Some items may be subject to reserve • A $25 Non-Refundable Notary fee applies to each vehicle and will be collected at time of invoice. Notary work will not begin until the auction has concluded and/or designated by the City of New Orleans.

NOTE: Some vehicles may be water damaged, reconstructed, hail damaged, salvage, mileage exceeds mechanical limits, etc. Running condition of vehicles is unknown and all vehicles are sold without keys, unless otherwise noted in lot description.

ATTN: Vehicles have a Permit to Sell. The permit to sell acts like a ‘title’ and is issued to permit the City to sell the  impounded and/or abandoned vehicle at public auction as per law. If you do not live in Louisiana, please make sure this is accepted in your state before bidding as there is no guarantee of transfer into other states.
