This auction is for an EXTREMELY RARE Motorcycle/Collector's item. It is purported to be 1 of only 214 made. It is a 2009/2000 Kawasaki KL650-A, 651CC Diesel/JP8 powered engine. Only 18 miles on the bike. It runs & drives. Has a clear title for plates. NOS military surplus.

The M1030 is a lightweight, rugged, commercial, cross-country motorcycle, based on the Kawasaki KLR 650, modified for military use. It provides an alternate means of transporting messages, documents, & light cargo between units. The M1030 may also be used to transport forward observers, military police, & reconnaissance personnel. The size & construction of the M1030 makes it highly mobile on all roads & cross-country terrain.

The M1030M1 motorcycles are the COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) Kawasaki KLR 650 modified for military use by Hayes Diversified Technologies. The M1030M1 is a program of the USMC. Hayes Diversified Technologies entered into a Phase III contract for the production of 214 M1030M1 JP8/Diesel Combat Motorcycles. That contract was completed in early 2010.
