"Refurbished Vandercook Proof Press No. 3, Serial# 7002 Bed: 15” x 35” Floor space: 2’ 2” x 6’6” Weight: 1000 lbs This refurbished press is clean and in its best working condition. The press prints well up to about 12 inches, after which print quality decreases for the remaining 6 inches of print area. When previous owners moved the press, it was dropped from a truck, which caused irreparable damage. The press has been refurbished by the previous owners as well as press technicians at the Book Arts Program and is beautifully repainted. The form rollers were replaced and have only been used a few times. The press has an automated gripper function (no gripper pedal) and a hand-cranked inking-system. The bed is galley-height."
