The boat features a glued lapstrake hull, constructed of Meranti marine grade plywood and Mas Epoxy. The Mast was constructed using a hollow birdsmouth building technique that greatly reduces the weight aloft. The Matinicus is Gaff rigged and all of the spars are built with Douglas Fir. The boat also features a lead ballasted kick up rudder and centerboard. The cockpit coaming, thwart and trim were built using quarter sawn Sapele. The boat does not include a trailer, sails, running rigging or a set of oars. Pickup will be at the CFCC Downtown Campus.
