SOFT CLOSE: - All items are scheduled to close at a specific time. However, we use an AUTO EXTEND or a SOFT CLOSE feature on ALL our online bidding platforms. Therefore, bidding will remain OPEN on any item that receives a bid within a pre-determined time, prior to the scheduled closing time. - Every time a bid is placed, a time extension will be added to the original closing time and to each extension closing time. EXAMPLE...if the pre-determined extension time is set for "5" minutes and an item is scheduled to close at 8pm, and a bid is placed between 7:55pm and 8:00pm, the closing time will be extended by "5" minutes or 8:05pm. If a bid is placed within the next "5" minute interval, then bidding close time will extend another "5" minutes or 8:10pm, etc. When a "5" minute extension interval has passed without any bids, then the item will close and no more bids can be accepted. You may need to "manually click refresh" frequently on your browser. "manually refresh" your browser during the extensions to see all other bids placed and verify you are still the high bidder.
