1. The items descriptions for this specialty auction were described and catalogued to the best of our ability. We take a lot of pride in taking as many photographs as possible of the individual lots. Hence, we let our pictures “do the talking”. So, take your time looking over the pictures of the lots you are interested in. We highly advise that you inspect the items personally for accuracy, originality, and condition. If you cannot inspect the items personally, we recommend that you look at our digital catalog found on our website so you can see the detailed photos of the specific lots you are interested in. You can also call our office at 717-334-6941 and speak to one of our staff so that they can look over the items that you are interested in and discuss any questions or concerns that you may have so that you feel confident in bidding on your chosen item(s). Note: We recommend you call the week of the auction, March 6th-10th for condition reports.
2. It is the sole responsibility of you as the bidder to satisfy yourself on the age, originality, authenticity, and condition of the lot before bidding by either live-in person, absentee, phone or internet bidding. Absolutely No Refunds!
3. We are not responsible for any typographical errors.
4. No Reserves. All Items will have new owners.
5. The Auctioneer is the sole determinant of who is the successful bidder.
6. We offer four methods of bidding in this auction.
A. Live-In House – You are present in person for the auction
B. Phone Bidding – All requests for phone bidding should be made by Friday, March 10th, 5:00 PM EST, prior to the auction so we can incorporate you into our phone bid schedule. Our staff will call you Two – Five lots prior to the lot that you are interested in. You will be able to hear the auctioneer so you can bid as you are here in person through our staff.
C. Absentee Bidding – All absentee bids must be received by Friday, March 10th, 5:00 PM EST, prior to the auction. Our staff will bid for you just like you were live in the audience. Our Live-In House audience takes precedence, and we allow our audience to start the bidding process and then we will activate your bid if applicable unless we have more than one absentee bid on that item (i.e. We have a bid for $500 and one at $800, the bidding will start at $600). A lot of times our bidder will get their items for less than the amount they left as their maximum bid. Feel confident when leaving your absentee bid.
D. Internet Bidding – Internet bidding will be available through Invaluable.com and AuctionZip.com at their terms and subject to a 15% Buyer’s Premium and ProxiBid.com at their terms and subject to a 19% (-4% Cash/Check Discount) Buyer’s Premium
Please Note: If bidding by 6B, 6C, 6D you acknowledge all the terms and conditions of this auction and understand that we do our best to execute all bids correctly. However, errors are made at times and unforeseen technical difficulties can be an issue. In the event of such an error, at no point will the auctioneer be held liable. Once the auctioneer says “Sold” on that lot, you are the new owner. You are responsible for payment in full. Our staff will contact you One-Three days after the auction to arrange the final payment, packaging, and shipping method. (Packaging and Shipping costs are an added expense). Packaging & shipping is an added expense.
There is No Buyer’s Premium if you bid using method A, B, and C.
7. Any/all announcements made day of sale take precedence over any printed matter
PAYMENT is due at the end of the auction and becomes overdue 5 business days after you receive your invoice. If you are a winner, you will be notified by AuctionZip, Invaluable or our staff immediately after the auction. You will receive an invoice from us w/in 1-3 business days. It will arrive in your regular email (not the message systems of Invaluable or AuctionZip.) Be sure to check your email SPAM folder if your invoice has not arrived.
We accept Personal Checks, Money Order/Cashier Check, Cash, VISA, MASTERCARD & DISCOVER & will apply an additional 4% surcharge for all credit card payments processed over the phone or in-house.
Payment must be completed within 5 business days after receiving your invoice. If your payment is not received within 5 days of invoicing, we may make the payment for you by charging the credit card you used to register for the auction. Unpaid items are subject to cancellation of sale, re-sale to others and Negative Feedback for the bidder.
Pick-Up is available at our location of 1085 Table Rock Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Our Staff will contact you 1-3 days after the auction in order to arrange the final payment. Please do not call. Packing & Shipping costs are an added expense. Upon receipt of payment, your items will be packed in the order that payment is received. We will be in contact with you for payment of actual shipping cost and packing fee. This could take up to 14 days do to volume. If you would like to pick up your items please contact the office at 717-334-6941 BEFORE PAYMENT. Shipping on the larger items such as bronzes, animal mounts, bear traps will be the responsibility of the purchaser to facilitate shipping due to the size & weight of the items. Redding Auction Service will assist to the best of our capability.
We do no attempt to make money on shipping but neither do we wish to lose money on shipping.
Items will be released to be shipped in order of payments received.
All items must be removed within 5 business days of payment or, alternative pick-up or shipping arrangements must be made. Items remaining at the auction location longer than 5 business days after payment may incur a storage fee and could be considered abandoned w/payments to be forfeited and the item re-sold.
TAXES: 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax will be charged for items shipped to Pennsylvania addresses. If buyer provides a copy of a valid Pennsylvania resale license, state taxes will not be charged. Buyers from outside of the U.S. may be subject to customs and importation fees levied by their country. Payment of such fees is the responsibility of the buyer and is not a basis for refusing or returning a purchase for refund.

2. By bidding on any item, the Bidder shows acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and acknowledges that all inspection, discovery, and due diligence for any lots bid upon have been completed to his/her satisfaction prior to bidding.
3. Items are open to thorough public inspection. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value, or any other determinative factor. Redding Auction Service Inc. may attempt to describe the merchandise in advertising, on the Internet and at the auction but makes no representations, certifications or guarantees. If desired, the Bidder may call our staff at 717-334-6941 if they would like to ask more questions regarding the item. Please be advised that we can only provide condition reports up to 5PM Eastern Time the day before the auction.
4. In no event shall Redding Auction Service Inc. be held responsible for having made or implied any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Bidder shall be the sole judge of value.
5. Bidders who bid from off-site and are not present at the live auction or preview understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an item as well as if they examined it in person. Redding Auction Service Inc. has generated every effort to catalog and correctly describe the firearms to be sold, however neither Seller nor Auctioneer guarantee the authenticity, validity or condition of any lot. All lots are sold “AS IS” and should be inspected prior to your bidding. Redding Auction Service Inc. reserves the right to make any and all verbal corrections and provide additional information from the stand at the time of sale. All sales are final!

All items sold are subject to Federal and State Regulations. All modern guns must be registered. Gun registration is handled by Redding Auction Service for a nominal fee. Modern handgun purchasers must be Pennsylvania residents at least 21 years of age and must have photo ID (driver’s license) and be able to pass a PICS background check. Out of state residents must have a FFL or a licensed dealer in their state to receive USPS shipment of Pistols and/or Revolvers. Modern rifle and shotgun purchasers must be at least 18 years of age and must have photo ID (driver’s license) and be able to pass a PICS background check in order to be eligible to purchase firearms. We do not implement a Buyer’s Premium (“Buyer’s Penalty”) or other hidden fees/penalties. Please Note: Redding Auction Service Inc. is not, nor will be held responsible if the buyer fails a PICS background check and are ineligible to possess a firearm. If this situation arises, Redding Auction Service Inc. will not issue a refund but we will gladly consign the firearm(s) for the ineligible buyer in a future upcoming sale (Prevailing Commission Rate will be deducted from sale proceeds).

In the event of duplicate bids, the first bid received will take precedence. All sales are final and the outstanding balance must be paid in full immediately. If shipping is requested/required by the purchaser, all packing and UPS/USPS shipping charges will be paid prior to shipping. There is a $15 packing/handling fee charged per shipping box for “smalls” & handguns & a $20 packing/handling fee for all long guns to offset the cost of packing materials & labor. Please note, per USPS policy all firearms shipped through the post office must be sent with “Signature Required”. Unfortunately, this is an extra charge that you must pay for.
