1999 Bridgeport Series I CNC Milling Machine
Complete Bridgeport EZTrak Controls working on a daily basis at the time of removal.
The base machine is in excellent condition, with minimal slop on all axes.
DC Servos and ballscrews on X and Y axes.
2-Axis CNC capable with manually controlled Z-axis
Capable of running in a strictly-manual mode, with the CNC controls acting as a 3-axis digital read out.
R-8 Spindle
2 HP head
The head came from a newer machine (circa 2005) but needs the typical bushing rebuild.
s/n BR279305E
Machine was reliably used on a daily basis in a research institute, but was never used for production work.
This machine is an good candidate for a modern retrofit CNC control. It is in excellent mechanical condition except for the need of new bushings in the head.
This item came from the University of Colorado Boulder and was in working condition when taken out of service. Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable.
