Switcher Locomotive Model EMD SW8. The locomotive was originally built as US Army, USAX, 2013 in 1951, serial number 15008. The 800HP locomotive has a 567B prime mover, 6BL airbrakes, standard bearing trucks, and non-alignment controlled couplers. The wheels are non- compliant and and the locomotive is unable to be moved offline in its current condition. The locomotive was placed into retirement around 2017 in a stored serviceable condition. It is currently out of service does not have a blue card. While in storage, it experienced a small fire within the "hot start" system which is inoperable. The only other known mechanical defect is a broken water pipe.
