Quality furniture, including 4 pc Sectional couch, Leick Furniture Co desk with chair, 3 pc Bedroom suite, 3 pc Brass & glass vanity w/bench, 1800's Carpet rocker, 1940's Porcelain top table, Lots of Wicker furniture, & more; Acrosonic piano w/bench. Old Oak 4' ice box w/brass hardware, zinc lined; Washer & Dryer; German Steins; Brass Wall art, Lg Porcelain doll collection; Early Barbies & other dolls; Beautiful wall mirrors, lots of lovely home decor, antiques & collectibles, Duplex Mod X permanant hair machine, 1940's Martin Turbinator hair dryer, Victorian Mourning Hair Art in beautiful Gesso frame, Beautiful glassware Franciscan China, Lg record collection, vintage wedding dress, 1945 Wedding suit, Wooden shoes, Bee Sting stone crock, WWII items, Japanese WW era art work, Prints & oil on Canvas, hundreds of collectibles, much more! Some of the items belonged to Lt Paul Krueger who was a low level bomber in WWII. There is a long & very interesting history behind Lt Krueger. Low level bombers were at a very high risk & the percentage that made it out alive was very few. Lt Krueger won Honor, Flying Cross for Bravery for a bombing mission when he flew his bomber Scrappy on a mission to destroy oil installation in Rumania. His formation encountered intense, heavy, & accurate anti aircraft fire which rendered two engines inoperatirve and seriously wounding Lt Krueger. Despite intense pain, shock, & loss of blood, he maintained his crippled aircraft on a level course until his crew had safely cleared the ship. Only after he was sure all his crew had left, did Lt Krueger leave his controls & parachute from the stricken ship. He and his crew were all captured and became prisoners of war for some time. Paul is a Montrose, IL native who graduated from Teutopolis Township high school in 1934. He earned several medals including the distinguished flying cross, Navy & Marine Corp medal, Air Medal, Specially Meritorious Medal, & the Purple Heart Medal.
