Because of the level of fraud we have encountered in this industry, it is very important that buyers understand this responsibility prior to bidding. All sales are final. YOUR BID IS A CONTRACT TO BUY Effective and enforceable immediately when you become the high, winning bidder, you have agreed contractually to your puchase per the laws of the State of Indiana. We will make every effort to accurately describe these items. All bidders must be 18 years of age or older and competent to conduct a financial transaction. All Auctions are considered reserve Auctions unless otherwise posted. The Auction company and its employees reserves the right to bid on any item for any reason, including absentee bids placed by non-internet bidders. The bidder/buyer agrees to pay all costs associated with any collection process for the funds due the Estate & Downsizing Specialists LLC. This may include legal, court, time and ANY associated costs. The purchaser agrees that a fee of 10% per month will be added to the balance of any unpaid amount due to Estate & Downsizing Specialists LLC. This will include ANY & ALL costs associated with collection including damages. Remember before you bid, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NEW LOTS MAY BE ADDED New lots may be added to any of our auctions up to the Friday before the Monday close of the sale. No lots will be added in the last 3 days. BIDDING Auction lots will have a staggering ending time starting at 6pm or 7pm EST, depending on the season, with the majority of auctions closing on Mondays and Wednesdays. All of our auctions have soft close times. First lot closes Soft Close on this auction at 6pm or 7pm EST. Stagger time will be 20 seconds to 1 minute depending on the total lot count. Big early and often on the lots you are interested in. Any bids placed in the last two minutes of time remaining will extend the total time. If two bidders place high bids that are the same amount, the FIRST recorded bid becomes the winner. Always make sure you have the high bid before assuming you have purchased an item. EDS assumes no responsibility or liability in the bidding activities during the close of the auction. Once an item is closed, EDS cannot change the winning bidder status under any circumstances. 15% BUYER'S PREMIUM 15% Buyers Premium Applies to this auction. Example: If you bid $100 on an item, the final price will be $115. The 15% BP will be applied to the final bid plus any applicable taxes. SALES TAX 7% Indiana Sales Tax will be charged for all buyers with Indiana residence. If you are Tax Exempt we must have your Exemption Certificate on file before the close of the auction. Artist signed etchings from the 1925 New Republic Magazine, Collection of framed art - canvases - wool tapestries from the Harry Hilson Archives 1950's-2000, Pierre Auguste Renoir etching - 2nd state - c.1908, woodblock prints, original oil paintings and watercolors, 1980's era framed fiber artwork. The Brown County Art Colony was formed in the early 1900s by artists who were attracted by the undisturbed picturesque landscape known as Peaceful Valley. T.C. Steele was the first to become a resident of the county when he purchased 200 acres near Belmont. Adolph Shulz is considered to be the founder of the Brown County Art Colony. He began visiting Brown County in 1908 and in 1917 became a permanent resident. Both Adolph Shulz and T.C. Steele influenced other artists and many began building cabins and moving to the area. Will Vawter and Gustave Baumann were among the first to make Brown County their home. Other artists such as Charles Dahlgreen, Lucie Hartrath, and L.O. Griffith came from Chicago and by the early 1930s there were at least eighteen artists with permanent homes in Brown County. Artists such as C. Curry Bohm, Edward K. Williams, Ada Walter Shulz, Carl Graf, V.J. Cariani, Gustav Baumann, Will Vawter, Dale Bessire, Georges LaChance, Marie Goth, Leota Loop, Adam Emory Albright, Olive Rush, and Alexis Fournier flourished and created the Brown County Art Colony nearly 100 years ago.
