Listing Terms and Conditions
Bidding on each auction lot starts at $1.00. All auction lots MUST BE picked up on May 15, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM unless shipping or delivery arrangements have been previously agreed to by Caring Transitions. Pickup time slots will be scheduled through SignUpGenius. This location is on the 8th floor. PLEASE be prepared with appropriate tools and support as we cannot provide any assistance moving winning lots. For large items, the freight elevator is at the end of a long corridor, so dollies would be helpful. The exit from the freight elevator is at the street level and very close to the parking area. Access information to the building will be provided in the invoice. For the larger/heavier pieces, Caring Transitions will also communicate with winning bidder about mitigating challenges in removing items. Due to building constraints please schedule your pick up time through SignUpGenius and PLEASE, as best as you can, arrive during your time slot. Bidding Terms & Conditions: 1. Placing a bid on an auction lot is an agreement to purchase. If you are the auction lot winning bidder, you are committed to purchasing and picking up your auction lot(s) at designated pickup date/time. If an auction lot is eligible for shipping you are responsible for communicating with Caring Transitions that you want shipping AND you must pay for the separate shipping/delivery invoice before the auction lot is shipped/delivered. Please DO NOT bid if you do not plan to purchase. 2. If you bid, you MUST be available or arrange for the pickup of your purchases on the scheduled pickup date, unless shipping/delivery arrangements were previously agreed to by Caring Transitions. 3. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large auction lots. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor or basement. 4. Invoices for winning auction lots are emailed to winning Bidders once the sale has completely closed. Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice and full payment must be made by 2:00 PM on day following the end of the auction. You will be directed to PayPal to pay after you click to check out. If we do not hear from you by the full payment deadline, we reserve the right to resell your lot(s) to the next highest bidder. Failure to pay for your purchase will result in suspension from the CTBids system. Reinstatement after suspension requires payment of the original invoice amount plus a $25 fee. 5. Shipping is available for SOME ITEMS at the Buyer's expense. Items that are NOT FRAGILE will be shipped via USPS or UPS. In addition to shipping carrier charges, there is a minimum handling/packaging charge of $10 per lot to cover labor and a $3 charge for materials. Auction lots requiring more than 10 minutes to package will be charged at a $1 per minute basis. You must specify if you would like to purchase insurance on shipping. Depending on the size of the sale and amount of shipping, it may be several days after pickup before you receive your shipping invoice. Shipping and handling will be invoiced separately through Invoice ASAP.com. Not all auction lots can be shipped. If you require shipping on an auction lot that is indicated as not shipping, please send an email before bidding to RockvilleAuction@CaringTransitions.com to inquire and discuss shipping options. 6. Shipping for FRAGILE LOTS will be packaged and shipped via a local UPS store. UPS charges for packaging and supplies tend to be on the more expensive side, so please plan accordingly when determining your bids. Caring Transitions will make an effort to identify this situation in the description of the auction lots. 7. All auction lots must be fully paid for before they are picked up or shipped. Items to be shipped cannot be removed from the property without payment. Therefore, if payment for the auction lot(s) is not received before the full payment deadline, the items will be forfeited and bidding privileges may be revoked. Additionally, if payment for the shipping and handling invoice is not received after 3 days of receiving the separate invoice, the auction lot(s) will be forfeited and bidding privileges may be revoked. Disposal of auction lot(s) is performed at the discretion of Caring Transitions and no refund will be made. 8. The exact address of the scheduled pickup will be on the Caring Transitions lots invoice emailed after the auction closes. 9.. Buyers will be provided the opportunity to schedule a specific pickup time window on the local pick-up day with SignUpGenius. All items not picked up during the scheduled pickup time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. No refunds will be made. Alternate pickup days and times, if approved by Caring Transitions can be available for a fee of $35. 10. A 15% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced. 11. We have made every effort to describe auction lots as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All auction lots are sold AS IS, and WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic, or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate. 12. Listings times have a soft close. Extra time may be added to ending times to allow bidders more time to win. This will give you time to receive an outbid notification and place a higher bid and mimics what happens in a live auction where the auctioneer asks for any last bids before making the sale.
