INSPECTION/PREVIEW -- Wednesday, May 11th 5 to 8 PM. (CST) This is an On-Line Only Auction. 10% (Ten Percent) Buyers Premium will be added to the final bid price to determine a final selling price. Online Bidder registration required. Barnard Auctions does not register bidders. We utilize a professional rented online bidding platform and do not control registrations. Complete settlement date of auction. Everything SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied. All items must sell through the auction on-line process, no presales. There will be No live/in-person bidding. You may submit an absentee bid (s), by calling 618-842-7850 a minimum of 24 hours before closing of auction. This Auction has an Extended Bidding or "Soft Close" feature. When bid is Submitted during the Final Seconds of the Auction for a Lot, the Bidding for that Lot will be Extended for an Additional One Minute. Listing Information
This is an Online Only Auction of Mary Porter Paintings. Mary Weber Porter was a local beloved artist from the Wayne County and Richland County area of Southern Illinois. She was known for her life like floral paintings and her many fruit and vegatable paintings which, everyone that was acquainted with her unique artistic talent, wanted to own and display in their own homes and offices. She attended the School of Art Institute in Chicago, and won several artistic awards. The majority of her paintings are on rustic wood boards, with attached wire hangers on the back. Mary Weber Porter came from a large family in Richland County Illinois and married and moved to Wayne County, Fairfield IL. She and her husband owned and operated a restaurant where she would display and sell many of her paintings.. She lived into her 90's and lived an active full life.
