Dr. and Mrs Spangler were well known in the Harrisonburg area and spent a lifetime collecting all sorts of interesting things. Dr. Spangler was most passionate about collecting glass bottles. Craun, Homestead Farms, Eastview Dairy, J.D. Kiser, R.J. Layman, Paul Burkholder, Dan J Blosser, Elmbrook Dairy, W.C. Wampler, Lewis D. Miller, K.M. Shank, Byard Lahman, Farmers & Merchants Dairy, Shenandoah's Pride, Carl Hartman, and many more including some hard to find bottles from other parts of VA.

Also of local interest will be an 8th edition Harmonia Sacra printed in 1857, book from John Wayland, correspondence from Rockingham, Augusta, and Page Counties in early 1800's, plus many other items of local advertising and interest.  This includes soda bottles from local bottling companies in Weyers Cave, Harrisonburg, Elkton, Staunton, Clifton Forge, Roanoke, and Winchester.
