Listing Information

9 stall Automated Batting Cages (ABC) with approximately 3,810 square feet of chain link fence & approximately 90 steel fence poles. The cages were installed in 2009 and shut down in 2019. They were made to pitch various speeds of both, baseball and softball, 4 of the stalls pitched both. The highest bidder will receive all fencing & poles, mechanical & electronic equipment, including one new & one used MP04A1-5000 computer control panel (purchased for $2,800 each). Also included is the sump pump, mechanical equipment housing/roof, 20 Daybrite, outdoor sports field lights,1500 watts (no poles). The lights were working when removed, some bulbs may have broke during removal. Also included are the softballs/baseballs, cage netting, keys, blueprints and information books. We're selling everything "as is" and the purchaser must be able to dismantle and transport the cages in a professional, safe and timely manner. Fence poles must be cut off at ground level, we want to retain the integrity of the concrete slab.

The benches, batting cage office/shed, electrical load box and installed lights/light poles are NOT included.

Known details of equipment ... There's approximately 3,810 sq. ft. of chain link fence (10' high) with approximately 90 steel fence poles (2.5-3 inches in diameter), they vary in height between 13 - 17 feet all in very good condition. The water pump motor failed during Hurricane Ida creating a bowl of water in the middle. While all 9 communication boxes receive electricity and light up, the communication boards that talk to the main control panel received water and no longer work properly. The conveyor belt system and motor currently work but the carousel motor does not. Some of the 9 units need belts and most of them need new wheels. The 9 token boxes (one per batting cage stall) did not receive water and were working when the cages were shut down. The center pole winch that raises the netting works but the netting has decayed in areas and some of the cables that hold the top portion of the netting in place have broke. We highly recommend setting up an appointment to see the cages in person before bidding.
