Please time a moment and read through a history of Kusak Cut Glass Works

The Kusak Company began in 1905 with the dream of young imaginative glass engraver, Anton Kusak, Sr., armed with a desire for freedom and a better way of life. Equipped with skills taught to him by the finest old world craftsmen, Anton Kusak crossed the vast ocean to America, landing at the fabled Ellis Island.

After a brief rewarding career with a prestigious glass house in the east, the young Kusak, with his family, ventured to the great Northwest. Kusak found the the Seattle area similar to his native Moravia (Czechoslovakia).

In 1914 Seattle was still a bit rough and unpolished-a stark contrast to the crisp-highly polished cuttings being created in a small shop in Seattle's Rainier Valley. During those early years the high standards for quality and service were developed.

With the help of another young talented Kusak, Anton Jr., the shop grew and grew even more. Selection was the next concern. More styles and patterns were designed, but only the finest of these designs were accepted into Kusak family of fine crystal. These beautiful originals are now the hallmark of the Kusak collection.

Kusak Cut Glass Works 105 years of quality product and customer service.
