Norval Humphrey began his teaching career at Anderson High School then taught at Taylor High School where he coached football and track and field. He taught at Oak Hills High School then Bridgetown Middle School. During his summers Norval was the manager at the Three Rivers Swim Club for 15 years and taught swimming and tennis lessons. Norval being a Master Carver joined the Cincinnati Carvers' Guild in 1972 and was very involved. He also owned Cabinet Master shop in Cleves where he made custom furniture and restores antiques.
