PLEASE BRING HELP TO MOVE LARGE FURNITURE ITEMS. Make certain to bring plenty of boxes and packing material as we will have none at the house. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
This is an online only auction with bidding through Hibid. Bidding will end in numerical order with 5 items ending every minute. If there is bidding activity in the last 2 minutes, the end time will be extended 2 minutes until there is no further bidding for 2 minutes. Extending the end time for an item does not change the end time of the following item, so there may be several lots ending simultaneously. You may bid anytime up until the ending time for each item. Click the link above for the auction catalog and to register to bid.
TERMS: You will have to register to bid in this auction. The registration process with Hibid is one-time. You will not have to go through the registration process for future auctions. If you do not wish to register with your credit card, please contact our office and we will assist you with options. If you have difficulty with registering or if you are unsure about the process, or if you just want help bidding, call our office and we will be glad to help you with it. Online bidders will pay a buyer's premium of 10%.
PAYMENT AND SHIPPING: We accept cash, credit cards, PayPal, and checks. Local buyers can use credit cards, cash, or personal check. Nothing will be removed from the auction site until it is paid for. WE WILL GLADLY SHIP ANY ITEM YOU WANT! If you want us to ship your items, the cost of packing and shipping will be added to your total and a new invoice will be sent to you showing the total due. We ship in-house with reasonable handling charges. Payment is expected within 48 hours of invoice for shipped items. If you wish to make payment arrangements other than credit card for shipped orders, we ask that you contact Black and Gold Auctions at least 24 hours before the auction. We will be happy to work with you in that way.
PICKUP POLICY
1. All unpaid invoices will be charged to the credit card registered with HiBid at 12:00 noon on Wednesday following the auction end. If the card is declined, bidding privileges will be suspended until payment is made.
2. If you do not show for pickup and do not contact us, there will be an automatic $5 charge added to your invoice. If you have large items, furniture, or multiple lots, that fee will be $5 per item. For onsite auctions, there will be an additional fee to bring the items to our offices.
3. If you have a second instance of not picking up, that fee will be $30 and your account will be put on hold until you have everything picked up.
4. If your invoice remains unpaid after 7 days, your items will be resold and your bidding privileges will be suspended indefinitely.
5. If your paid invoice items are not picked up within 10 days of auction end, they will be forfeited and resold with no refund given.

Photos tell the story on t... 13 Vintage Schwinn 26" boys bicycle Has hand brakes as opposed to foot brakes. Most of this bike appears to be original and while it needs some restoration, it looks fundamentally sound. 14 Childs wooden riding horse toy Painted wood body and frame, with plastic wheels. Can be ridden but has no steering, so we see it more as a pull toy. 18" tall and 18" long, with wear to the paint, primarily on the seat and along the edges. 15 Lot of two vintage printer trays Ready to do shadow boxes? We've got the trays for you! Both measure 32" by 16 1/2". 16 Ornate brass fireplace screen Panels fan out from central stand. Cupids decorate the exterior of the stand and the piece has a pleasing Art Nouveau look and feel. 29" overall height. 17 Lot of 2 vintage printers trays Both measure 32" by 16 1/2" and are ready for your creative endeavors. 18 Lot of 4 collapsible lawn chairs For your yard, patio, deck, fishing, outdoor concerts or what have you. All have metal frames for sturdiness, three have their carrying bags, as well. 19 6 gallon stoneware crock Has brown glaze on interior. Marked with a blue ink stamp number 6. Crack from top rim through one handle, otherwise flaws are minor. 20 5 gallon Western Stoneware crock Marked with blue ink stamp 5 and Western Stoneware Co. inside leaf, also in blue ink. A dandy condition-wise, with no damage of note. 21 5 gallon stoneware crock Also in very nice condition, with no significant flaws. Diamond shape blue ink stamp is smeared, so name is not readable. 22 Brown 4 gallon stoneware crock Marked with impressed 4 under one handle. There are spots of rub on the glaze, but we found no cracks, chips or significant flaws. 23 Buckeye Pottery 3 gallon stoneware crock Marked with circular blue ink stamp: The Buckeye Pottery/Macomb, Ill. No discernible cracks or hairlines, just minor glaze flaws around base rim. 24 Unmarked one gallon stoneware crock Has brown glaze on interior. No significant issues, just the normal, minor glaze and firing flaws. 25 Two one gallon stoneware crocks One has a blue ink stamp: Ruckel's Stone Ware, the other is unmarked. Both have hairlines/cracks from the top rims down--although the Ruckel's has only one. Great decorative pieces, nonetheless. 26 White w/ black trim graniteware pail With bail handle. Typical evidence of wear and use. 27 White w/ red trim graniteware pail With bail handle--wooden grip has some heat/fire damage. Otherwise, piece shows normal wear and use. 28 Oval graniteware wash bowl w/ red trim Don't throw the baby out with the bath water! 17 1/2" long, 12" wide, with normal wear for its age. 29 Two larger graniteware bowls The smaller of the two measures 12 1/2" in diameter and has black trim. The larger bowl has red trim and measures 16 1/2" in diameter. Both show wear and use marks commensurate with age. 30 Vintage surveyors tripod and stick Lasers and the like have pushed pieces like this toward obsolescence. Piece is essentially sound, with good remaining numbering. Great display item. 31 Large cast iron ladle 24" long with a 5" diameter bowl, which has two spouts. Has some surface rust. 32 No. 2 Bostrom Farm Level Nice piece and it comes in its original dovetailed wooden box. Even better, it has the original pamphlet with directions for setting it up. 33 Vintage wicker picnic basket With top handle and two lift lids. "Ventilated" design--to keep food cool or to let flies inwe aren't sure which! 34 Brass case Royal Mariner barometer This one has some age to it! 5 3/4" base diameter. It was forecasting accurately when last we checked. 35 Cast iron Aunt Jemima dinner bell Likely of more recent manufacture. 13" tall overall height and meant to be mounted on post. Don't stray to far from this bell, or you'll miss your meal!! 36 Large cast iron coat/hat hook Heavy duty--is 10 1/2" long and when properly mounted would hold anything you wanted to hang on it. 37 Lot of vintage hand tools These have done some duty around someone's house or farm. Stands 24" tall, with a diameter of 15". Round marble insert is 11 1/2" diameter. Few small spots of damage on marble insert, but nothing that would prevent sitting things on top of it. 46 Ethan Allen walnut finish stool Has four legs, stands 17" tall and is 14" in diameter. 47 Antique oak chifforobe Beveled mirror on top left on door of hat box, with five drawers below. Right side of piece is the wardrobe. Solid piece that needs only minor tightening/adjustments/repairs and it's on casters. 63" tall, 44" wide, 20" deep. Door pull on hat box is d... 48 Lovely cedar chest in excellent condition We did not find a maker's mark on this piece, but who cares? It is in great condition inside and out. Inside has a tray, as well. Measures 42" wide, 21" deep and 22" tall. We seldom encounter cedar chests in this condition. 49 Oak triple curved china cabinet With front paw feet. Has three wooden shelves. 60" back height, 36" diameter. Comes with key. This one is room ready! 50 Walnut double door bookcase Great size that lends itself to many locations in your home. Glass front doors with metal criss-cross decorative strips, three wooden shelves on interior. 48" tall, 36" wide, 12" deep. Here is another piece ready to be used immediately! 51 Walnut finish cheval mirror With beveled mirror. Stands 65" tall and is 27" wide. Minor cosmetic flaws only. 52 Wooden side table with book rack Place your reading materials underneath in the book/magazine/crossword puzzle rack and leave the top surface free for your glasses and beverage. 24" tall, 24" wide, 12" deep. Very good condition. 53 Arched wicker four shelf stand Shelves lift out. 60" tall, 29" wide, shelves are 11" deep. A distinctive piece, with only minor indications of wear and use. 54 Oval Victorian style parlor table Walnut table with porcelain casters. 30" by 22" top, 28" tall. Quite a nice looking table. 55 Pair: electric table lamps w/ cloth shades 34" tall lamps with a gold leaf look finish. 56 Depression era wooden side table This piece has considerable surface abrasions and scratches and could be improved with a refinish. 24" long, 14" wide, 23" tall. 57 Milk glass GWTW style electric lamp Blown out mold on glass top and bottom with applied floral and gold design. Mold features the head of lions. Quite a pretty little lamp. 58 Green upholstered loveseat Has ball and claw wooden front feet. Works. 60 Tall occasional table, made from rubberwood We were going to say maple, but it has a label underneath which names the wood used. It stands 36" tall, is 42" long and 18" deep. A bit of surface dirt on top, which a good cleaning should remove. 61 Glass & brass finish table lamp With cloth shade. Has amber glass with a modified daisy and button pattern. 62 Heavy brass electric table lamp Tall--35"--with glass bulb cover, no shade. 63 Trendline upholstered fainting couch With tufted back. Shelves are graduated in size. 54" overall height. 65 Painted hanging medicine cabinet Much more to this piece than just the medicine cabinet. There are two towel bars below, which we almost never see incorporated into a medicine cabinet. The cabinet itself has two wooden interior shelves and a beveled glass door. 34" tall, 23" wide. 66 Low wooden stand--end of bed? You could certainly stack blankets on it, but it has no interior storage--the drawer pulls on the front are part of a false front. No flaws of note--just clean the glass and it's ready to set ... 76 Unusual, petite closed front cabinet Walnut finish. Such an attractive size--does not take up half a room. The china cabinet has curved glass, with the upper pane leaded glass. Inside are three adjustable wooden shelves. There is also a shaped beveled glass mirror above the china cabine... 80 Display cabinet, lighted top and bottom Glass front and side and glass shelves are featured on this highly functional display cabinet. 72" tall, 32" wide, 12" deep.
