FFA Labor Auction April 4 7 PM The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA will be holding our annual Labor Auction on Thursday, April 4th, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the high school gymnasium. We will have approximately thirty to forty members selling this year as “laborers.” These members will work an eight-hour day this spring, summer, or fall. The member(s) you would purchase can be used for many types of jobs around your home, business, or farm. Examples include spring cleaning (fence painting, trimming shrubs, gardening, etc.), washing windows, baling hay, or whatever you choose. You set the job(s) to be completed in the eight hours. Mr. Joel Schmitz will be our auctioneer. This is one of two major fund-raisers for the year. We also have Holiday Sales in the fall. With the Labor Auction, each member has agreed to donate one day of labor to the FFA chapter. The purpose of the Labor Auction is to arrange individuals for our members to work for. All money raised goes to the chapter to help pay for State and National Leadership Conferences. Money also helps to pay for the expense of our annual Awards Banquet to be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019. For the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter to continue its many activities we need your continued support. The best way you can help us is to buy one of our “laborers” at our Labor Auction. Enclosed is a flyer that we ask for you to share with your family, friends, or place of employment. Thank you for your support! Hope to see you on the 4th!
