United Confederate Veterans, Edge of Flag has makers mark J.A. Joel & Co. Lot 18.             Reuben Reid Reidsville NC Handmade Leather Billfold With History; Early 19^th Century; 6.75” by 3.25” closed, Note Displayed inside billfold, is titled “Billfold- Belonged to Reuben Reid for whom Reidsville NC was named. Given to me about 1885 by his daughter Rhoda Reid Scott, My Grandmother. She stated was made by a SADDLE maker for Mr. Reid. 19 Nov., 1943.
