Terms & Conditions
When you register as a new bidder the credit card you register with will have an authorization check performed. In order to successfully register, the address that you register under must match the address on the credit card. The credit card used for registration will be automatically charged following the auction unless you make payment during the scheduled pick up time. If alternative payment is approved we accept cash, personal or cashier’s checks or wire transfers. Certain purchases such as coins, precious metals and vehicles may require payment by wire transfer or certified cashier’s check ONLY. Please read the description of the items to see if these terms apply to your purchase. Purchases made by check may be held until your check clears.
10% Buyers Fee applies to all purchases. 3% additional convenience fee when payment is made by credit card. Sales tax of 5.5% is also collected unless you have a seller’s permit on file with Paul Auction Co. Sales tax applies to Buyers fee. You must tell us by phone call or email, prior to the close of auction, if you plan to use a resale number EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE ON FILE WITH US.
$10 Handgun transfer fee for each handgun purchased. All FFL Rules & Regulations apply. Firearms transferred at our facility will only be sold to WI residents of legal age. All other bidders must make arrangements to have the firearm shipped to an FFL holder of their choice. Additional shipping charges will apply to all firearms. Call for clarification.
This auction features an auto bid extend. When a bid is placed in the final 2 minutes of bidding the auction bidding will automatically be extended 2 minutes from the time the bid was placed. ie: If an auction is scheduled to close at 7:00PM, receives a bid at 6:59 the close time will automatically extend two minutes. The auto extend feature remains active until no further bids are received within a 2 minute time frame.
Paul Auction Co. Inc. does not test items for authenticity or suitability. Although every effort is made to objectively describe the merchandise, personal inspection on the part of the bidder is strongly encouraged. Measurements are approximate sizes. If the description does not match the photograph please contact us for clarification. Any item(s) not removed on the scheduled pickup date or dates will be considered abandoned and will be forfeited unless alternate pick up or shipping arrangements were made prior to load out. Shipping is available for certain items; call to confirm. Shipped items will incur a minimum $6.00 materials fee in addition to actual shipping charges. Shipping and packing labor is charged out at $26.00 per hour or fraction thereof. Vapo-Cresolene was a snake oil medicine and was designed to be placed on the tray at the top of the lamp. The heat would cause it to vaporize and the vapors were guaranteed to cure you of what ailed you. Unless it killed you first. One of the first companies to be shut down by the Pure Food and Drug Act. The lamps themselves make dandy little night lights.

The lid is specially designed to lock under the rim and provide blockage at the spout. On the opposite side is a bail handle that provides a lifting point while locking the lid in place. The bottom has carbon build up; that's not enamel loss. About 12" W.

Renulife Quack Medical Device
These are similar in nature to the better known Violet Ray machines that exploited peoples desire to cure their ailments by:
1. Making no effort whatsoever to actually get off their ass and improve their health.
2. Use that new fangled electricity to do it for them.
In use, the glass bulb would be inserted into the hand held unit. When power was applied by cranking up the rheostat knob, the attachment would light up like a purple neon sign. The only thing left to do was apply it to the afflicted part of your anatomy and a harmless purple spark would arc between the tube and your skin. If this didn't cause you to have an involuntary bowel movement, nothing would. Speaking of inserting, dozens of optional attachments were available some of which were designed for internal use. Although I have seen them, I've always been able to resist the urge to try one out.

Classic Wood Case Spice Set, Complete.
In the '70s and into the '80s these were so commonplace that I'm not sure if dad even bothered advertising them. Now, it's probably the nicest set I've seen in several years, of the few that I've seen. Very complete and clean. About the worst thing you could say is that the word "Spices" has faded out on the lid. About 10"W.

A scarce Milwaukee producer of herb bitters. In 1902 he was located at 725 Windlake Ave on Milwaukee's south side. Kujawiak, the brand of his bitters, is named after a Polish Folk dance, one of five national folk dances of Poland. This is not a common bottle at all.

Oil Street Lamp
This is that rare bird that survived in very good condition. The very few that have survived are almost always beat to smithereens, repaired and then poorly repaired again, then a half assed electrification and and it gets to spend it last decades rotting in somebody's yard. Not this beauty! The font has me confused, though. Glass font, intact, over a metal font with no apparent pass through. It almost seems to be a "Dual Fuel" design or that it was an assist of some type. All glass panels are present and intact. You get to provide the lock on style chimney but I'll wager they're reproduced. 33"H with a 3 3/4" post socket.

I know faucet sounds funny but that's the correct term. This was designed for serious beer tapping. Manufactured by Bishop & Babcock and stamped for use by West Bend Lithia. It's the only one I've ever seen marked by West Bend Lithia. I know that if I owned the original brew kettle doors, I would have to own this, too. 15"

Barnyard Lot
Top part of a chicken feeder, one hame, a great pair of swamp shoes and the only cast iron ox shoes I've ever seen. Swamp shoes were made to help distribute a horse's weight when working in soft soil. You can see how they were cut out to accommodate a horse shoe. But the really cool things in this lot are the cast iron ox shoes. Manufactured shoes for ox just don't show up very often.

The Ever Stick Anchor
My first though was that this was some swanky, patented fishing anchor that never caught on and would be worth its weight in gold. I was wrong. It's made specifically for utility companies to anchor power and telephone pole guy wires. Nonetheless it's a bit of an engineering marvel if not somewhat impractical. It expands or contracts depending on which way the jointed tripod is pushed or pulled.

1987 Plymouth Reliant K LE wagon. 36,000 Miles Extra Clean!
Freshly detailed by Nice Car and looking like a million bucks. It's as clean inside as it is outside. Fuel injected, which kind of surprised me but the windows will require manual manipulation. It has the 2.5L mill. I tried to see if this was the High Performance model but couldn't confirm it. In any case, it's larger than the 2.2L alternative. And don't expect to tie your blue tooth in to the radio. The kids will marvel when they see the cigarette lighter occupying the "power port". I've driven it and although it wouldn't be at home in Elkhart Lake, it's a perfectly fine first car or daily driver. Lastly, the car was parked in a gravel floor garage so you're probably going to find some rust on the undercarriage. My physique no longer lends itself to wiggling around under cars so if you'd like to inspect it, swing by on Monday afternoon. I've noticed that this car elicits strong opinions from those that see it. What's yours?

The Feuerhand No. 225, the larger is at 8.5" and the Fledermaus No. 666, the smaller is at 6.5". I would have sold then separately but the small on is missing the adjusting knob for the wick. What a great pair of lanterns! Today's trivia: Fledermaus is the German word for bat which is the logo used by Fledermaus. It literally translates to "fluttering mouse".

I'm torn on this piece. The quality, style and construction are all there. I'm pretty sure it's a higher end revival piece, but... I don't see enough period pieces to make a definitive call. There is no veneer, other than the inlay and the feet are hand carved. But the legs aren't dovetailed to the column, the screws are too uniform and the latch, (original) smacks of newer, not older. Disirregardless, (my favorite made up word) it's a very good table. 22" top.

Colonial Manufacturing 5 Tube Grandfather Clock
I know, Grandfathers' clock are not all the rage. Right now. But 10 years from now you'll be congratulating yourself for your stellar foresight because you bought this at the right time. This is a quality timepiece leaning towards the upper end. Mahogany case. Westminster chimes. Strikes on tubes, not rods and has a very good quality movement. Unlike the modern clocks that are made from flattened out beer cans, this movement has heavy plates and quality wheels, (gears). Over the last several months I've regulated it so that it's within 1 minute over a 2-3 week span. That's almost unheard of for a non astrological tall case clock. However, you'll need to have the striking hammers attended to as they sound a bit off when it strikes. It could probably stand a professional cleaning and lubricating at the same time.

A Hand Made Working Model Traction Steam Engine w/ A Rumely Thrashing Machine.
These were both made by the same person in the Shawano area around 1935. The steering works and the drive train operates when the engine is rolled. It's not live steam, but a fairly well detailed model made from materials on hand. This is one of those items that has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. A true piece of WI folk art. Both pieces hooked up measure in at 4' in length with the straw chute not extended. The threshing machine is about 14"H; the steam engine a tad shorter.

Folk Art Tin Match Holder And A Cigar Box.
Back in the early to mid 70's somebody realized that very well done pieces of tole work with colorful paint were showing up in old homesteads around Washington and Fond du Lac Counties. They were all obviously made by the same hand as they had a very distinctive style. Serious dealers at the time were all over anything that had a whiff of native Folk Art to it and these pieces became highly sought after. This is one of those pieces and despite the damage to the top of this match holder, it's still a neat little piece of local design. 8.5"

The vane is what makes the set-up. Rarely if ever do you see a cow with attached ears and horns and if you do odds are they've become detached somewhere along the way. Cow is probably copper but has vestiges of gilding. A very attractive piece.
