New Customers Only: The credit card that you use at registration will have a credit check performed for $49 which will show up as a pending charge from Damewood Auctioneers, and will drop off after several days. Damewood Auctioneers does not hold or keep this money.
R. Craig Damewood, Auctioneer LLC (Auctioneer) offers all lots, items and merchandise sold "As-Is, Where-Is" with no warranties or guarantees either expressed, or implied. Descriptions are believed to be accurate, and when Auctioneer has knowledge of a defect, it will be disclosed. Auctioneer cannot be responsible for hidden, unknown defects, including wood scratches, cuts, broken furniture, stains on unseen parts of upholstery and carpets, rust, dents or mechanical defects. You, the bidder/buyer must make your own decision to the fitness and condition of any item or lot and bid accordingly. You may preview the inventory on Saturday, June 5th from 9AM-Noon, and Thursday, June 10th from 3-6PM at Belle Grey Farm in Upperville, VA. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Buyers, and their associates, must practice social distancing while on the property and wear face coverings, according to state health guidelines.
Buyer’s Premium & Fees
All Buyers will be assessed an 13% Buyer's Premium, with a 3% discount for all cash and check purchases. All purchases will be assessed a 6% Virginia State Sales Tax unless Buyer presents Auctioneer with a valid Virginia sales tax exemption at the time of payment. All sales are final with no returns, exchanges, or refunds of any kind. By paying Auctioneer with a credit card, Buyers waive their right to issue a charge-back against Auctioneer.
All Bids Are Final
All bids recognized by the Auctioneer, the Auctioneers bidding app are final and constitute a binding contract to purchase between the buyer and the seller. Auctioneer cannot, and will not, remove bids on behalf of bidders. Make sure you are bidding on the item you intend to bid on before pressing the bid button.

Removal & Payment
Pick-Up & Payment: Saturday June 12, 2021 and from 8AM-3PM at Belle Grey Farm, 21440 Belle Grey Lane, Upperville, VA 20184 (Located off Piney Swamp Road).Payment by cash, check, bank wire, or credit card. 3% discount for cash, check or wire. Unless Buyer receives prior written/email consent from Auctioneer, ALL BUYERS WHO DO NOT PAY BEFORE OR DURING THIS PICK UP TIME WILL HAVE THEIR CREDIT CARD CHARGED FOR THE FULL AMOUNT DUE. AUCTIONEER AND SELLER ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO ASSIST BUYERS IN MOVING THEIR PURCHASES. If you require transports on moving of items, call Auctioneer for a list of vendors. TIPS TO BE SUCCESSFUL WHEN BIDDING VIRTUALLY ONLINE 1. Listening to the Auction Broadcast by hitting VIEW LIVE. We recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla as a browser. Do not use Internet Explorer.
2. Connect to a High Speed Internet connection. Over the Air LTE is not the best option, but it will work. If you don't have Xfinity or Verizon Fios, we recommend using the MAX BID FEATURE.
3. Bid quickly, and decisively, and press BID, then, CONFIRM to place a bid. Hesitation is not your friend. Bids typically take 1.5 second to be sent from you to the auctioneer.
3B. Press the (v) next to the BID button to advance the bid to a specific amount, or leave a MAX BID so the computer will automatically bid on your behalf against other bidders up that amount. MAX BID's are good for people who have slow internet connections, or don't have time to participate in the live auction broadcast.
3C. If you see HIGH BIDDER, that means you hold the high bid. If the BID button is still green, you need to bid and confirm that amount to outbid the current high bidder. BID PENDING, means your bid has not been received and accepted by the auctioneer. You will see BID PENDING if multiple bidders are bidding that same amount.
4. Bid using a desktop or laptop computer as it will give you the best screen view. A tablet will work fine, too, but a phone should really be your last resort. The screen and bidding application features will be limited to accommodated the small screen size.
5. Download the "Damewood Auctioneers" app in the

6. Make sure your device has updated software, and you are using the latest browser edition.
