All items sell in "as-is, where-is" condition. Buyers agree that by entering a bid during the auction they have inspected the property, are satisfied with the condition of the property, and are entering into a contract to purchase the property. All accepted bids will have a 15.55% Buyers Premium added to the bid. There are no additional charges for payments via credit card. We collect sales tax at the local rate per the laws of the State of Illinois. For Auctions held within Monroe County the rate is 7.50%. This rate may vary for auctions held at other locations. FRAUD PREVENTION MEASURES: We follow the credit card industry guidelines for fraud prevention We have access to and use a service that provides enhanced credit fraud monitoring We have successfully won 96+% of all of our chargeback challenges We utilize the industries latest AI technology to monitor suspicious credit card activity We have joined a nationwide legal network who has successfully sued and won monetary damages in all 50 states from people attempting to commit credit card fraud. Payment: All invoices will automatically be charged to the card on file upon conclusion of the auction. Declined payments will receive an invoice with a paylink. Payments not made in full within 48 hours of the auction closing are subject to the Non Paying Bidders clause below and forfeit all rights and claims to any won lots. For certain items, such as gold, vehicles, or other large purchases the auction house reserves the right to require wire payment, check payment or cash payment. No Chargebacks: Bidders agree that under no circumstances are chargebacks allowed. Excess proceeds may be donated to the Monroe County Humane Society and the Morrison Talbott Library. The Buyer understands abandoning an item does not negate the Buyer from paying for the item and agrees to no chargebacks for abandoned items. Non Paying Bidders: Bidding, establishing the high bid, and then not paying creates difficulties for the Auction Firm including delaying payment to sellers, which hurts the Auction Firms reputation, creates additional costs and burdens to the Auction Firm. As such, all Non Paying Bidders will be reported to the auction platform and will be banned from bidding at our future auctions. Being reported may negatively impact your ability to bid on the platform including other auction houses, including being denied the opportunity to bid. Shipping will be via a major provider such as the U.S. Post Office, FedEx, or UPS. Lots are shipped insured through Shipping Saint. If any lots are damaged during transportation the buyer agrees to work directly with Shipping Saint to handle all claims. Shipping & Handling (S&H) Charges: S&H charges are separate from the Purchase Invoice and do not negate the Buyer from the obligation to pay the Purchase Invoice in full. S&H Charges include handling, materials, insurance and shipping costs. The Buyer will be sent a separate S&H Invoice to be paid prior to Shipping. (Note we will try to ship via the most economical method possible) We regularly post actual costs charged to customers on our website 555Auctions.com so you may research total costs before requesting our in-house shipping service. Errors, Omissions, Discrepancies (EOD): In the event there is an error in a listed lot the auction house has the right to remove, cancel, or terminate the lot, even after the auction has closed. An example of an error is having photos that do not match the description or accidental duplicate listings being created. It is the sole right of the Auction Firm to determine the corrective action. EODs benefit no one. We try diligently to avoid them. In the unlikely event an EOD occurs the Auction Firm has sole discretion to the remedy, including determining if any reverse of charges will occur. See Agreed Limited Liability section for value agreements. Technology Malfunctions and Uncontrollable Events: In the event of a technology malfunction or an uncontrollable event (such as extreme weather), the auction company may pause lots, delay the close of the lots or remove lots (including lots that have active bids). These events, while rare, do happen. Technology malfunctions such as the software platform sending out errant sold notifications are beyond our control and do not constitute a sold event. Agreed Limited Liability: The buyer agrees that in no circumstance will the value of a lot exceed the accepted high bid at that auction for that lot and that no matter what the perceived value, expected resale value, replacement appraised value, or any other measure of value is it shall not be higher than the accepted high bid at that auction. Accepted high bid does not include artificial high bids, retracted high bids or any other attempt to manipulate the high bid. Bidder Agrees: The Bidder agrees they have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this auction and they agree to abide by them.
