KASE SMELLIE FAMILY BENEFIT AUCTION Let's rally around the Smellie Family as they deal with major medical bills and time off of work as their oldest son Kase recovers from a serious cardiac emergency. On June 20th Kase went into cardiac arrest due to an unknown heart defect. He was life flighted to Children's Colorado Hospital in Aurora. During the arrest, Kase had multiple strokes which led to severe brain injury. He underwent emergency brain and heart surgery to fix the heart defect and to relieve swelling in his brain. He spent 73 days in patient at the hospital relearning fine and gross motor skills along with speaking and eating . He is home now but will require continued care and rehab in Colorado as well as South Dakota. The Smellie family is extremely grateful for the continued support and prayers that have been given on their behalf!
