This is a unique opportunity for those who are not afraid of rolling up their sleeves and getting a little dirty. First things first. You are NOT required to take away any trash or unwanted items. There are antique items, appliances, tools, generators, raised bed gardens like new, collectables, a porcelain enamel wood cook stove, furniture, motorcycles and parts, a Ditch Witch cable digger, memorabilia, wood heat stoves, air compressors, a welder, scrap metal for recycle, and there is the unknown. Nothing was picked through during the picture taking. Containers were not opened, drawers were not gone through; if you find it, it's yours! The goal of the children is that as much of this as possible will go back into circulation or recycling and provide meaningful value and keep as much of it out of a landfill as possible. One winning bid takes it all. The winning bidder will have two days of their choosing (June 27 & 28, June 28 & 29 or June 29 & 30) to get the items out they desire. Winner would need to make payment to Barber Auctions by Monday morning, June 27th and need to pay a $300.00 deposit which will be returned upon a final inspection. Address of the items will not be released until payment is made, but the property is located approximately, 6 miles from the Wal-Mart in Jane, Missouri. The heirs expect the winning bidder to leave the home and porperty as good as they find it or better; not worse. Nothing that is "bolted" to the house as a structural item is to be taken except the claw foot bathtub (i.e. light fixtures, fireplace rock, trim, etc.). The house and property remain in the owner's possession and will be sold at a later date. Winning bidder will be given access to the property exclusively during the two days of their choice. Winning bidder will have to make payment by cash or cashier's check (credit card w/ 5% convenience fee) and sign a Release of Liability holding the heirs and property owners harmless if accident or injury may arise as a result of extracting your property.
