The following is a preliminary list of horses, ponies, donkeys and colts that will be sold along with the 6 ponies participating in the Pony Challenge. There are sure to be more horses consigned by sale day. Visit our Facebook page for videos and updates.

NML PONY CHALLENGE

6 ponies are being ridden and trained by 7 little cowgirls and cowboys from around the state of Michigan. These ponies will be shown and sold on May 8 at Northern Michigan Livestock Auction Yards in conjunction with the May 8 Horse and Tack Auction. This auction will also feature several nice horses, ponies, colts and mini donkeys.  Follow the updated consignments as well as the progress of the Pony Challenge participants by liking and following Northern Michigan Livestock Auction on Facebook. Each Wrangler will receive a special prize for their participation, with one taking home a custom trophy saddle from Corriente Saddle Co. of Texas.

PONIES AND RIDERS

*Aliya Erbes on Ryder. Aliya is 10 years old and Ryder is an 8 year old bay gelding.

*Wynn VanHouten on Nintendo. Wynn is 8 years old and Nintendo is a 5 year old bay gelding.

*Haiden Braska on Poncho. Haiden is 8 years old and Poncho is a 8 year old flaxen mane and tail gelding.

 *Hadlea Braska on Chip. Hadlea is 8 years old and Chip is a 8 year old sorrel and white pinto gelding.

*Macey Erbes on Zuma. Macey is 7 years old and Zuma is a 8 year old sorrel gelding.

*Cross VanHouten on Charlie. Cross is 6 years old and Charlie is a 4 year old chocolate mare.

 *Silver Braska is 5 years old and she is helping/supervising her older sisters with Chip and Poncho.

HORSES

*Peanut is a 5 year old black gelding standing just under 14hh. He's gaited, quiet, gentle and easy to be around.

*Big Grey is a 6 year old grey gelding standing 16.3hh and weighing around 1400lbs. He's a big, gentle guy with a lot to like.

*Jim is a 13 year old red roan gelding standing real close to 16h. Nice neck rein, prefers a hack, well built and shapey. Throw a rope off him, trail ride, etc.

PONIES

*Bisquit is a 54" black and white draft cross pony mare. Really nice broke. Ride or drive. Super smooth and trail safe.

*Frank is an 8 year old pony gelding standing 40" tall. Gentle and kid broke. Rides out alone and in all types of weather. 

COLTS/FILLIES

*Lulu is a nice little roan filly, registered 2 year old. Sire stood at the Pitzer Ranch. Goes back to Playgun, MR Joes Song, Smart Little Pistol

*Grey Filly coming 2 years old that is going to be BIG

MINI DONKEYS

*Easter is a 4 year old mini jenny that was exposed to Jack

*Rosie is a 4 year old mini jenny that was exposed to Jack

*Marge is an 8 year old mini jenny that is due to foal any day!

*Jack is an 8 year old jack that bred at least Marge, but likely Easter and Rosie too

MULE

*14 year old John Mule standing just 40 inches. Broke to ride and very gentle. Easy to catch and gets along with the other horses. Been with same family for past 7 years.
