Terms & Conditions

All of the taxidermy mounts we offer for sale are non-endangered and have been ethically and legally obtained. If required, the proper documentation will be included. We follow all US laws and regulations regarding the sale of taxidermy. Some states have restrictions on the sale of certain taxidermy mounts. You are responsible for knowing what is legally permissible in your state. We always recommend checking your state laws for restrictions before bidding. If you are the winning bidder of an item and can not own it in your state, you will be charged for your item. If the item is not picked up by you or an authorized representative within 45 days after the end of the sale, the item will be considered forfeited. The bidder is responsible for any and all permits required to purchase any item in your state. You can find links to resources under our link tab.

MARYLAND LAW PROHIBITS THE SALE OR SHIPMENT OF ANY OF OUR MOUNTS TO A BIDDER IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND. ALL LEOPARD LOTS CAN ONLY BE SOLD TO NORTH CARONLINA RESIDENTS. IT IS A FEDERAL CRIME TO SELL THESE LOTS TO SOMEONE WHO LIVES OUTSIDE OF NORTH CAROLINA.

A 15% buyer premium will be applied to the high bid to derive the purchase price.
Applicable sales tax applies-6.75%

*SHIPPING INFORMATION

Registration requires a valid credit card to confirm your identity. A confirmation that you have at least $100 line of credit will be required to complete the registratio process (same as a "ping" to your credit card when using it to purchase gas). This is NOT a charge and NO money comes to our firm for registration. Your bank may hold these funds 24-48 hours according to their policy.

All transactions will be charged immediately following the auction using the credit card on file (given at the time of registration) UNLESS the invoice is over $2,000.01. If your card returns nonsufficient funds, you will be charged a 25.00 fee. Bidders with invoices over $2,000.01 will be e-mailed wiring instructions. Wires need to be sent within 24 hours after the end of the Auction. If payment is not received, The Swicegood Group, Inc. will attempt to collect by charging the credit card on file for the full amount or any amount less than the purchase price. No item(s) will be released until satisfactory U.S. funds have been received in the Auctioneer's escrow account. Any international bidders must pay via wired funds and make arrangements with the auctioneer before the close of the auction. The bidder is completely responsible for the shipping and documents legally required to export from the US and import to the bidder’s country. The Swicegood Group Inc. is not responsible for any challenges presented in the import/export process. It is your responsibility to select a qualified import/export shipper.

Once the sale is over, the lot will become your property and it will be your responsibility to select one of the two choices provided or one of your choice. The two that we provided are shippers we have used, while this is not an endorsement, they have provided excellent services for our auction company in the past. The auction company is not responsible for any damages that could happen in the shipping process. We encourage you to purchase insurance with your shipper. All shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. Please research your shipping options before bidding on the items. The auction company is not responsible for lifting, loading, packing or shipping. Please make sure you bring enough people, boxes, and/or crates to help you package and load your items. Staggered End Time: Multiple lots will close each minute so the auction ending is staggered to allow for this to occur.

Soft Close Ending: Lots may remain open for bidding if bids are placed in the last minutes before that lot closes. Bidding will close once a selected number of minutes have passed with no new bids being received.

Stone/Fannin Bighorn Sheep
Rams are male bighorn sheep...they are identified by their long curved horns.

This ram was harvested in the Yukon on a three week horseback hunt in 1972.

Waterbuck
Waterbuck...The waterbuck is a large antelope found widely in sub-Saharan Africa.  It was first described by Irish naturalist  William Ogilby in 1833.

This waterbuck was harvested in Zimbabwe in June of 1990.

Kudu
Kudu...The greater kudu is a woodland antelope fund throughout eastern and southern Africa.

This Kudu was harvested on a hunt in September of 1989 while hunting for leopards.  The antlers measure 48".

Blue Wildebeest
Blue Wildebeest (gnu)...The blue wildebeest, also called the common wildebeest, white-bearded wildebeest or brindled gnu, is a large antelope and one of the two species of wildebeest.

This wildebeest was harvested in Zimbabwe in 1994.

Sable Antelope
Sable Antelope....The sable antelope is an antelope which inhabits wooded savanna in East and Southern Africa, from the south of Kenya to South Africa, with a separate population in Angola.

This Sable was tracked for 9 hours before being harvested in September of 1989 in Metabele Land, Zimbabwe.  The antlers measure 36".

Red Hartebeest...The red hartebeest is a species of even-toed ungulate in the family of Bovidae found in Southern Africa.

This Red Hartebeest was harvested in Petersburg, South Africa in 1994.

Zebra...Zebras are African equines with a distinctive black-and-white striped coats.

This zebra was harvested in 1989.

Zebra Hide/Rug
Zebra Hide/Rug is 68” at its widest point. 107” at its longest point.

This zebra was harvested in 1994.

Cape Buffalo
Cape Buffalo...The African buffalo or Cape buffalo is a large sub-Saharan African bovine.  They are found in Southern and East Africa.

This Buffalo was harvested with a single shot in June of 1990.  The horns measure 40".   It was large enough that it's meat fed three villages.

Full Mount Leopard
*****THIS LOT CAN NOT BE SOLD TO ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH CAROLINA.

Full mount leopard with fresh catch for supper (I believe it's a Genet, a small African carnivoran)...The leopard is one of five species in genus Panthera.  It lives in a wide range in sub-Saharan Africa and other regions.

The genet was stealing the camp's eggs and was harvested at the same time as the leopard.  1994.

Lot 12 is the skull of the leopard and lot 13 is the skull of the genet.

Registration requires a valid credit card to confirm your identity. A confirmation that you have at least $100 line of credit will be required to complete the registratio process (same as a "ping" to your credit card when using it to purchase gas). This is NOT a charge and NO money comes to our firm for registration. Your bank may hold these funds 24-48 hours according to their policy.

All transactions will be charged immediately following the auction using the credit card on file (given at the time of registration) UNLESS the invoice is over $2,000.01. If your card returns nonsufficient funds, you will be charged a 25.00 fee. Bidders with invoices over $2,000.01 will be e-mailed wiring instructions. Wires need to be sent within 24 hours after the end of the Auction. If payment is not received, The Swicegood Group, Inc. will attempt to collect by charging the credit card on file for the full amount or any amount less than the purchase price. No item(s) will be released until satisfactory U.S. funds have been received in the Auctioneer's escrow account. Any international bidders must pay via wired funds and make arrangements with the auctioneer before the close of the auction. The bidder is completely responsible for the shipping and documents legally required to export from the US and import to the bidder’s country. The Swicegood Group Inc. is not responsible for any challenges presented in the import/export process. It is your responsibility to select a qualified import/export shipper.

Once the sale is over, the lot will become your property and it will be your responsibility to select one of the two choices provided or one of your choice. The two that we provided are shippers we have used, while this is not an endorsement, they have provided excellent services for our auction company in the past. The auction company is not responsible for any damages that could happen in the shipping process. We encourage you to purchase insurance with your shipper. All shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. Please research your shipping options before bidding on the items. Staggered End Time: Multiple lots will close each minute so the auction ending is staggered to allow for this to occur.

Soft Close Ending: Lots may remain open for bidding if bids are placed in the last minutes before that lot closes. Bidding will close once a selected number of minutes have passed with no new bids being received.

Stone/Fannin Bighorn Sheep
Rams are male bighorn sheep...they are identified by their long curved horns.

This ram was harvested in the Yukon on a three week horseback hunt in 1972.

Waterbuck
Waterbuck...The waterbuck is a large antelope found widely in sub-Saharan Africa.  It was first described by Irish naturalist  William Ogilby in 1833.

This waterbuck was harvested in Zimbabwe in June of 1990.

Kudu
Kudu...The greater kudu is a woodland antelope fund throughout eastern and southern Africa.

This Kudu was harvested on a hunt in September of 1989 while hunting for leopards.  The antlers measure 48".

Blue Wildebeest
Blue Wildebeest (gnu)...The blue wildebeest, also called the common wildebeest, white-bearded wildebeest or brindled gnu, is a large antelope and one of the two species of wildebeest.

This wildebeest was harvested in Zimbabwe in 1994.

Sable Antelope
Sable Antelope....The sable antelope is an antelope which inhabits wooded savanna in East and Southern Africa, from the south of Kenya to South Africa, with a separate population in Angola.

This Sable was tracked for 9 hours before being harvested in September of 1989 in Metabele Land, Zimbabwe.  The antlers measure 36".

Red Hartebeest...The red hartebeest is a species of even-toed ungulate in the family of Bovidae found in Southern Africa.

This Red Hartebeest was harvested in Petersburg, South Africa in 1994.

Zebra...Zebras are African equines with a distinctive black-and-white striped coats.

This zebra was harvested in 1989.

Zebra Hide/Rug is 68” at its widest point. 107” at its longest point.

This zebra was harvested in 1994.

Cape Buffalo
Cape Buffalo...The African buffalo or Cape buffalo is a large sub-Saharan African bovine.  They are found in Southern and East Africa.

This Buffalo was harvested with a single shot in June of 1990.  The horns measure 40".   It was large enough that it's meat fed three villages.

Full Mount Leopard
*****THIS LOT CAN NOT BE SOLD TO ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH CAROLINA.

Full mount leopard with fresh catch for supper (I believe it's a Genet, a small African carnivoran)...The leopard is one of five species in genus Panthera.  It lives in a wide range in sub-Saharan Africa and other regions.

The genet was stealing the camp's eggs and was harvested at the same time as the leopard.  1994.

Lot 12 is the skull of the leopard and lot 13 is the skull of the genet.

Impala....Impalas are medium sized antelopes that roam the savanna and light woodlands of eastern and southern Africa.

This impala was harvested on a hunt in September of 1989 while hunting leopards in Zimbabwe.  The antlers measure 23 1/4".
