Listing Terms and Conditions
AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS: This auction is open to Canadian residents only. Any bids outside of Canada will be rejected. You are accepting all our terms & conditions, buyers premiums, taxes, shipping and payment stipulations when you place a bid at our online auction. The highest bidder shall be the purchaser and the decision of the auctioneer related to all matters is final. All sales are final and not subject to conditions with no refund or exchanges. MacMillan Auctions does not guarantee or make warranties of any lot sold. All merchandise is sold 'as is', "where is" condition with all faults. Estimate of condition ratings in the catalogue are opinion only. All firearms and ammunition are sold as collectables only . Fitness to fire or otherwise discharge the arm or ammunition is expressly denied by MacMillan Auctions. A competent gunsmith should be consulted before attempting to use or fire any firearm or ammunition. Although we endeavour to give you accurate information, we acknowledge that errors may occur in what is written. MacMillan Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in the catalogue. It is the responsibility of each bidder to personally review the details and image of each item to determine the value of items they are bidding on. All goods advertised or displayed are subject to withdrawal prior to sale within the discretion of the auctioneer. The Auctioneer may reject a bid at their discretion without reason or explanation. No employee of MacMillan Auctions is authorized to make on our behalf or that of the consignor, any representation or warranty, oral or written with respect to any lot or item for sale. FIREARMS SALES IN CANADA: A valid P.A.L. is required to purchase firearms in Canada. Firearm registration applies to all restricted firearms purchased for Canadians except firearms classified as antique and non-restricted. LOT ADDITIONS & DELETIONS: We reserve the right to remove add/or add items to the auction at any point. CATALOG ERROR & OMISSIONS: If the image of the item does not match the description, the item description takes precedence. All items are sold "as is", "where is" with all faults . BIDDING STRATEGY: We recommend that bidders put in their maximum bid when placing an online bid. This does not mean you will have to pay the amount you bid; you only pay one bid more than the next-highest bid, and only up to your maximum bid. Using your maximum amount, the software places bids on your behalf based on the predefined increments until your maximum bid is reached. RESERVES: A few of the lots have a reasonable reserve. Bid on all items at your own discretion, based on your own judgement of the price you are willing to pay. BID INCREMENTS: Details can be found in the BID INCREMENTS section of the Auction Details REVIEWING YOUR BIDS: You can check the status of your bids at any time during an auction. No bids can be withdrawn after the auction for any reason. BIDDER NOTIFICATOINS: You can choose to be notified by email during the auction if you have been outbid. 10 minutes before the auction closes, the volume of bidding may result in emails not reaching you quickly enough to react. It is recommended that you use the Live Catalog feature of the online auction to track your bidding status during this time. After the auction closes, you will be notified in approx 48 hrs. with a preliminary invoice , if you are a successful bidder. SOFT CLOSE: To prevent a bidder from "sniping", all bids made in the last 2 minutes of the auction will force the lot to stay open for an additional 2 minutes. This will continue until bidding is ceased. WINNING NOTIFICATIONS: All winning bidders will receive an email with an attached --- PRELIMINARY INVOICE from jim_macmillan@hotmail.com. , within 48 Hrs. after the closing of the auction. Please note , that due to security reasons , Hi-Bid does not pass down the three or four digit security number on your credit card, to us. In order to speed up the process for a scheduled pickup, you will need to text, e-mail , or phone us with the three or four digit security code , on the back of your credit card , so that we can process your payment , and have your invoice ready for you when you come to pickup your items . You will be asked to sign our copy of your invoice , that you have received your items , & you will be asked to show us you P A L licence , so that we can verify that as well . If you want to know whether you won a lot at the close of the auction, check your "Bidder History" - if it says "you will be notified", that means you are the high bidder. If you are not the high bidder, it will say "you have been outbid". When shipping or delivery costs are known, your credit card will be charged for those costs and you will be invoiced separately. PICKUP OF ITEMS: You must present a valid PAL at pickup if you purchased firearms or ammunition. All pickups must be SCHEDULED with MacMillan Auctions in advance. To schedule a pickup, phone or text MacMillan Auctions at 705-324-1252 or email jim_macmillan@hotmail.com. Pickup dates are Tuesday December 15th to December 19, 2020 from 10 am to 4 pm daily. Please do not come for a pickup if you have been out of the country in the last 14 days or have any COVID-19 symptoms. If you are not able to pickup items, shipping can be arranged. COVID-19 restrictions may alter pickup and/or shipping of items. If arrangements for pickup or shipping of purchased items are not made within 30 days; the item or items will be considered abandoned and sold as a consignment in the buyers name at the next auction , with commission & storage charges deducted from the total selling price. SHIPPING OF ITEMS: SHIPPING WILL BE WITHIN CANADA ONLY. Please reply to us by e-mail, when you receive an invoice for items that you have purchased, if you would like us to ship them to you. If you are shipping a firearm or ammunition, you must email an image of your PAL (front and back) to jim_macmillan@hotmail.com. If you are planning to bid on Firearms or Ammunition , send an e-mail to jim_macmillan@hotmail.com , with your P A L number and expiry date; and also if you have a Tax Exempt Status--- proof of Exemption. COVID-19 social distancing protocols will in place and masks must be worn when picking up items. For restricted firearms, the auctioneer will contact you for further information. Your credit card will be charged for shipping, with the cost of shipping & handling plus insurance costs.
