Michael E. Berland, Principal & Managing Director of Hanna Commercial’s Accelerated Marketing Division, has been conducting real estate auctions for 37 years. A licensed Real-estate Broker & Auctioneer in multiple states, Mr. Berland has been a keynote speaker on several panels including the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Berland has conducted real estate auctions throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean with sales in excess of $3 billion. Mr. Berland has sold all types of properties at auction including: Shopping Centers, Office Buildings, Apartment Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Retail Properties, Hospitality Properties, Vacant Land, Golf Courses, School Properties, Churches, Movie Theatres, Gas Stations, Car Washes, Townhome and Condominium Developments, Trophy Homes, Resort Properties and Farms. Mr. Berland is responsible for designing and implementing a land parcel auction series in Chicago that consisted of 19 auctions and produced sales of over 2,000 Chicago land sites to builders, investors and private individuals. 

Mr. Berland is also well known for his charitable work as the auctioneer at fundraising events for many charitable organizations. 

Mr. Berland’s hobbies include golf, sailing and martial arts. As a former three-time national karate champion, Mr. Berland is now an avid fan of mixed martial arts.
